For airport transfers and any trips we found "krakowdirect.com" to be excellent, very reliable service, great value and our driver (Tom) was superb, showing us Auswitch he was able to take us in avoiding the queue and offered excellent advice all the way round, spoke perfect English and was polite and professional at all times, he made two women travelling alone in a foreign country feel very safe and protected.

We found the staff to be extremely helpful and polite. The room was neat and clean and would advise anyone that this hotel is ideally located in the Jewish quarter with immediate access to a good choice of restaurants and within a 10 minute walk to the main square
Top Tip
The main square is worth a visit in the evening as it is still busy up to midnight. The Salt mines were more impressive than expected. Auchwitz was a very harrowing experiance but not to be missed to appreciate exactly what happened there.

The Ester Hotel looks out over a cobbled square in the Jewish Quarter in Krakow. Our room was huge with a spacious bathroom with corner bath/shower. The reception staff were so very helpful - they even lent us a power point adaptor because ours didn't fit. We would certainly recommend this hotel and would go there again.
Top Tip
There are many restaurants nearby - some Jewish. We particularly liked an Italian one. Trips can be arranged to Auschwitz which I think everyone should see. Also the Salt Mine.

Too many too mention in the area. My daughter is vegetarian so I was concerned but we didn't have a problem. The vast majority of restaurants offered veg option.
We parked the car and didn't use it for 3 days.

Great Hotel in the Jewish Quarter. Really nice area, would be better if closer to the Market Square, but taxis are very cheap.
Top Tip
You must go and see the salt mines, and of course Auschwitz. Take the open air electric carts for short hops, but make sure you bargain with them, If possible take a taxi to Auschwitz so you dont get jammed onto a bus. One big thing is organise an airport transfer by taxi http://www.krakow-taxi-airport.com/ August '08 about £40 for 12 of us in 2 vans including Child seats. For Kids go to Park Wodny, good indoor water park, but get changed quickly as they charge you for every minute you are over your time.
